Tirzepatide 30mg

$70.00

Tirzepatide is a synthetic antidiabetic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. It is the first drug in its class, acting as a dual agonist for glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (GIP) receptors. Because these are both incretin hormones that stimulate insulin release from the pancreas, tirzepatide is sometimes called a "twincretin".1

Tirzepatide mimics the effects of natural incretins by activating their receptors. This action enhances glucose-mediated insulin secretion and reduces glucagon secretion. Additionally, it improves insulin sensitivity, delays gastric emptying, and increases satiety, which can lead to reduced food intake and weight loss.1

The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection once a week and was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2022 under the trade name Mounjaro. It is also marketed as Zepbound. Common side effects include gastrointestinal issues like abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting
